My book 'On Earth As It Is In Heaven' had a warm and cozy launch on September 21, 2025, a few hours ahead of the Autumn Equinox. It was hosted at Malaprop's Bookstore in Asheville, North Carolina, by Orison Books in tandem with the Great Smokies Writing Program. My publisher and editor Luke Hankins introduced me. The stories in my collection are very different, and to give the audience the flavor of the book, I read five-minute excerpts from four stories: The Peacock's Cry, At Home and Away, Spiders, and Father's Day.
There were a dozen or so people, so it was a small gathering but they were all involved and attentive, and asked many good questions. They bought my books to be signed and so at least for that day, I was ahead of Dan Brown and Haruki Murakami on Malaprop's bestseller list!
